Boy there are many, many seriously good chocolate calendars to consider. So, without further ado, discover the most luxurious chocolate advent calendars ever.

Wow, Ferrero have really gone to town this year, with this superb calendar that opens out into a 3D festive market scene. Actually, forget that – who are we kidding? We are here for one thing alone – the chocolate. Don’t fret, they haven’t forgotten. Inside you will find an utterly delicious assortment of 5 Ferrero favourites: Ferrero Rocher, Ferrero Kisses, Ferrero Kisses White Chocolate, Ferrero Kisses Delicate and Mon Cheri. Enjoy!

3.24 Sweet Treats Advent Calendar by Pierre Marcolini, £49, http://www.eu.marcolini.com

Should you be after some true luxurious chocolate heaven, this calendar by Belgian chocolatier, Pierre Marcolini is a must-have. Cradled inside the huge story book like calendar are insanely delicious pralines to suit every taste. Spoiler alert- not one will be left behind. If sharing is not your thing, look for a really good hiding place. I’ve bagged the attic. Sure, I need to balance precariously on mobile steps at the top of the landing. Stretch as high as possible with a pole to reach the hook.  Pull down a hefty ladder (which coincidentally almost knocks me out each time it is unfastened and drops to the floor). Still, totally worth it! Available from 9th November.

4.Artisan Brownie Advent Calendar by Sweet Reason Co., £69, www.rumbles.com

Let’s face it – who the HELL doesn’t like brownies? Should there be someone out there who could possibly dislike them (I’m certain this is just a myth), these brownies will change your mind. Perhaps in time, your waistline too. Included in the Advent Brownie Box are the most scrumptious flavours: Salted Caramel, Chocolate Orange, Coconut, Honeycomb, Oreo, Mojito…and the best one of all – a Bailey’s brownie. Thank you, Lord, my prayers are finally answered. I am complete!
