4 Of The Best Vegan Concealers Around

Hey Lovelies!

One product I consistently review is the concealer. A key product in anyone’s makeup arsenal; therefore, having a good one is of paramount importance. Now, with cruelty-free and vegan products in high demand, the selection is growing. This means no more do we need to settle for lesser quality or pay higher prices. I’ve tested many and the following are 5 of the best concealers around:

For EVERYTHING Concealer

1.Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Scultpting Concealer, £24, www.lookfantastic.com

Too Faced Super Coverage Concealer is my #1 product. This little gem ticks all the boxes: cruelty-free, vegan, free from parabens. Better yet, it is the lazy girl’s go-to product. The multi-tasker makes light work of its mission to conceal, contour, correct and highlight. Whatever your skin need, this liquid concealer delivers flawless results – AND IS NOT REMOTELY CAKEY!! Available in 16 shades, there is bound to be a shade to suit your skin tone. Too Faced, I love you!

For Discoloration and Longwear

2.Barry M All Night Long Concealer, £4.49, www.superdrug.com

Should your concern be predominantly discoloration and the need for long-lasting coverage, this is the perfect vegan concealer. Expect an even skin tone, soft-focus effect and a burst of luminosity. This concealer is so easy to blend, providing seamless results that stay put. For an added boost it combines moisturising and skin repairing vitamin E.

I would say a little of this concealer goes a long way. I found it best to just lightly apply to problematic areas rather than liberally splash on. The concealer certainly is long-lasting – I’m not sure about all night long, but it definitely stayed put until 3am!

This incredible vegan and cruelty-free liquid concealer is a game-changer for those with discoloration concerns.

For Dry Skin and Travel-Friendly

3.bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Hydrating Foundation Stick (SPF25), £29, www.bareminerals.co.uk

Check out the first vegan water-based foundation stick. This product is composed of 30% enhanced mineral water, thus offering exceptional skin-loving support. For those with dry / dehydrated skin, this non-cakey stick will feel like a dream. Whether you wish to use this as a concealer, foundation or creamy contour, the vegan stick blends in seamlessly, providing truly flawless yet natural-looking results. Furthermore, this travel-friendly stick fits perfectly in your clutch, has an SPF25 and is available in an incredible 20 shades.

For Uneven Skin / Longwear

4.Smashbox Studio Skin Flawless, £20, www.lookfantastic.com

Should you have blemishes and uneven skin, Smashbox’s Studio Skin Flawless is awesomeness in a bottle. The lightweight vegan formula effortlessly conceals, evens the appearance of skin tone, contours and highlights. Dark circles and hyperpigmentation vanish before your very eyes – and unlike Cinderella’s midnight dilemma – this product will keep you looking radiant until at least 3 am (this is the time I collapsed at home).  However, Smashbox state the product stays put for 24 hours and given the seamless results many hours later, I am inclined to agree! Better yet, it is oil free and available in an amazing 30 shades!

Discover The Best Camouflage Makeup Around: Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Maximum Cover

Hey Lovelies!

I was recently given Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body to try. This concealer makeup provides the ultimate coverage. Literally transforming the look of my skin, it allows me to wear pretty much whatever summer clothes I choose without feeling self-conscious at all (well, to a point anyway). Discover why Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Maximum Cover is the best camouflage makeup around.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body SPF15, £33.50 (30ml), www.esteelauder.com

Okay, here’s the deal: should you have acne scars, age spots, blemishes, bruises, pigmentation, sun spots, varicose veins, or basically any imperfection (let’ face it, who the HELL doesn’t?) that you wish to conceal, this is a must-have product. Gone are the days where you opt for tights or trousers and a day that is too el scorchio for words, for fear of displaying those imperfections. Thank you, Estee Lauder – you are a true hero brand!

For Body:

This liquid formula works incredibly well on the body. Making fast work of hiding away all imperfections, the product can even be used post-surgery. It offers a natural-looking matte finish that is both water-proof and will last all day without the worry of streaking. One point I should make is DO NOT apply this without a blender / blending brush. For this I chose my fave blending tool ever – Iconic London’s Blender. Do not make the mistake of thinking it will be fine without one – a blending tool is vital!

For Face:

Available in 14 different shades, this makeup is a true colour matching gem. I opted for the shade, Dawn. The liquid cover blends in seamlessly and achieves flawless results you will love. My skin is quite dry, and I have enlarged pores. Should anyone else suffer a similar fate, my advice is to thoroughly moisturise with a hydrating formula pre-application, also adding a primer. Additionally, you should be applying the product to your face with your blender too. Failure to follow those steps will result in a shabby-looking finish that looks worse (i.e cakey or exaggerated pores) rather than better. Also, you may not notice this until you step outside (and happen to have a pocket mirror with you)!

Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Maximum Cover contains aloe leaf to nourish and sooth, soybean oil (to neutralise free radicals) and vitamin E to further protect.

In summary, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Maximum Cover is awesome!

Has anyone else tried this amazing product and what are your thoughts? Leave me a message in the comments below. Have a great week people!

Wave Goodbye To Filters With 4 Of The Best Vegan Concealers

Hey Lovelies!

Should you be (like me) a lover of all things vegan, things have never looked better. The vegan makeup and skincare range are growing day by day. Check out 6 of the best vegan concealers that will guarantee no need for Instagram filters. I am certain you will fall in love with at least one of these awesome products!

1.100% Pure Long-Lasting Concealer, £25, www.revolve.com

Okay, I understand this is a little more than we generally like to pay for our concealer – but this will last you far longer than a concealer pen, so it works out to be quite a reasonable buy. When I tried this product, I was totally smitten. Unlike many other concealers this formula feels so soft, blends perfectly into the skin and does NOT cause that dreaded cakey appearance that emphasises lines. For me, this is priceless.

The concealer is formulated with fruit and vegetable pigments, and is also water, sweat and oil resistant. It provides exceptional coverage that lasts.

100% Pure’s Concealer is available in 5 shades (the only downside). It is vegan and cruelty-free.

2.Gabriel Color Concealer, £15.96, www.amazon.co.uk

I tested out the Gabriel Dual Powder Foundation (from Gabriel Cosmetics) some time ago and was mega-impressed. The Color Concealer is pretty outstanding too. This extremely lightweight, water-based concealer achieves amazing coverage that looks totally natural. It literally blends in like a second skin. Additionally, being gluten-free and vegan is an immediate plus, too!

This concealer is available in 7 gorgeous shades.

3.Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Skin Concealer, £7.94 (MSRP: £20), www.skinstore.com

Firstly, let me just say how cool this brand’s name is! The concealer is usually priced at £20 but is currently available at the SkinStore (part of the lookfantastic group) for just £7.94!

The formula is creamy, yet lightweight and boasts skin-nourishing ingredients such as aloe, cocoa extract and vitamin E. These components work together to further minimise the appearance of dark circles and any imperfections. The outcome is perfect coverage with an even and healthy-looking skin tone you will adore. I love this!

This concealer is only available in 4 shades (again the only downside I can find).

4.Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, £9.75 (5ml) (RRP: £19.50), www.feelunique.com

Probably my favourite vegan concealer of all is this one by Urban Decay. The all-singing, all-dancing concealer ticks every possible box and ensures you look incredible even on your worst day ever. Most importantly, under eye dark circles are diminished without bringing out fine lines for a spotlight dance. Urban Decay have combined Japanese green tea to aid in this process.

Their formula also combines Matrixyl 3000, Litchiderm (sourced from lychees) and sodium hyaluronate that work in unison to enhance an ultimately brighter and more radiant finish.  This concealer is available in 12 shades and is currently 50% off – so grab one now!

4 Of The Best Concealers That Actually Deliver

Hey Lovelies!

I don’t know about you but I’m so tired of getting excited about trying new concealers only to discover they just don’t stand up to the job. We want concealers to do what they promise – conceal. We want concealers that make our skin look better – not cakey, older or patchy (even when we’ve spent more than long enough blending). I quite like some Rimmel products, but I found their “Hide The Blemish” concealer to be a huge fail.

Check out the best concealers around (and the best prices) that actually deliver true coverage and will improve your appearance!

1.Max Factor Pan Stik, £7.18, www.amazon.co.uk

This has to be one of my all-time favourite concealers. It instantly provides superior, yet natural coverage for pretty much every skin concern. The lightweight formula blends easily and lasts as long as your foundation (unlike the useless twist pen stick concealers), it is excellent value for money. I always come back to this concealer (for good reason). #happydays.

2.Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, £20.40 (Was £24), www.debenhams.com

Nars is an awesome brand and their Soft Matte Concealer offers exceptional results. Achieving a natural yet full coverage, this product is lightweight and blends seamlessly. Whether you need to cover up dark circles (who doesn’t?), acne, blemishes, pigmentation or redness – the concealer will be like a complexion’s super hero. With its light-diffusing capabilities to blur and combining an array of proven skin-nourishing ingredients, this formula ensures your complexion will be nothing short of radiant. Furthermore, it is available in almost every shade you can think of.

3.Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, £9.75 (RRP £19.50), www.feelunique.com

This is another concealer that ticks all the boxes. The Naked Skin Concealer provides coverage that is easily buildable, whilst guaranteeing a full and even coverage of which glides on seamlessly. Including incredible ingredients such as Japanese green tea (to diminish the appearance of lines), Matrixyl 3000 and Litchiderm (to enhance collagen production and protect), this concealer literally transforms the look of your skin. Yay!

4.MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, £18.50 (9ml), www.maccosmetics.co.uk

You didn’t think I could discuss great makeup without mentioning MAC, did you? Of course not. I hate concealers that (even when you use a setting spray) seem to either disappear completely, or stubbornly remain in unattractive vague patches on your face. Behold MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer. The lightweight product feels amazing, is lightweight whilst simultaneously achieving excellent coverage and has serious staying power. I love this!
