Hey Lovelies!

Love for clean living and vegan skincare go hand-in-hand. Beauty brands have cottoned on to our need for natural and vegan skincare and provided us with an array of awesome natural soaps. Now we can say goodbye to the days of products made from animal fat (thank God). Check out the best vegan soaps that will keep us clean, clear and happy.

1.The Soap Co. Black Poppy & Wild Fig, £7.99 (125g), www.thesoapco.org

Containing black poppy, coconut and olive oil, wild fig, ensures your skin is left totally revitalised and supple. Additionally, cocoa butter and pro-vitamin B5 provide further hydrating and moisturising benefits. I love this soap.

Wave Goodbye To Filters With 4 Of The Best Vegan Concealers

Hey Lovelies!

Should you be (like me) a lover of all things vegan, things have never looked better. The vegan makeup and skincare range are growing day by day. Check out 6 of the best vegan concealers that will guarantee no need for Instagram filters. I am certain you will fall in love with at least one of these awesome products!

1.100% Pure Long-Lasting Concealer, £25, www.revolve.com

100% pure concealer
Credit: Revolve

Okay, I understand this is a little more than we generally like to pay for our concealer – but this will last you far longer than a concealer pen, so it works out to be quite a reasonable buy. When I tried this product, I was totally smitten. Unlike many other concealers this formula feels so soft, blends perfectly into the skin and does NOT cause that dreaded cakey appearance that emphasises lines. For me, this is priceless.

The concealer is formulated with fruit and vegetable pigments, and is also water, sweat and oil resistant. It provides exceptional coverage that lasts.

100% Pure’s Concealer is available in 5 shades (the only downside). It is vegan and cruelty-free.

2.Gabriel Color Concealer, £15.96, www.amazon.co.uk

I tested out the Gabriel Dual Powder Foundation (from Gabriel Cosmetics) some time ago and was mega-impressed. The Color Concealer is pretty outstanding too. This extremely lightweight, water-based concealer achieves amazing coverage that looks totally natural. It literally blends in like a second skin. Additionally, being gluten-free and vegan is an immediate plus, too!

This concealer is available in 7 gorgeous shades.

3.Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Skin Concealer, £7.94 (MSRP: £20), www.skinstore.com

Firstly, let me just say how cool this brand’s name is! The concealer is usually priced at £20 but is currently available at the SkinStore (part of the lookfantastic group) for just £7.94!

The formula is creamy, yet lightweight and boasts skin-nourishing ingredients such as aloe, cocoa extract and vitamin E. These components work together to further minimise the appearance of dark circles and any imperfections. The outcome is perfect coverage with an even and healthy-looking skin tone you will adore. I love this!

This concealer is only available in 4 shades (again the only downside I can find).

4.Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, £9.75 (5ml) (RRP: £19.50), www.feelunique.com

Probably my favourite vegan concealer of all is this one by Urban Decay. The all-singing, all-dancing concealer ticks every possible box and ensures you look incredible even on your worst day ever. Most importantly, under eye dark circles are diminished without bringing out fine lines for a spotlight dance. Urban Decay have combined Japanese green tea to aid in this process.

Their formula also combines Matrixyl 3000, Litchiderm (sourced from lychees) and sodium hyaluronate that work in unison to enhance an ultimately brighter and more radiant finish.  This concealer is available in 12 shades and is currently 50% off – so grab one now!

Should your skin be dehydrated and generally unhappy, the intensely hydrating hemp-derived cannabis seed oil will perk it up by providing a super-boost of long-lasting moisture, whilst simultaneously soothing the skin. Other ingredients include:

Glycerin – to draw in and maintain water whilst keeping the skin protected from free radical damage.

Kaolin Clay – to detoxify, exfoliate and diminish inflammation so any spots that happen to be lurking can jog on.

This awesome face mask comes in a stick (genius, btw) so there’s no mess or wastage. Big bonus points here, Milk.

Expect beautiful, clear and remarkably hydrated skin. #smile

N.b: There may be a wait list for this one.

2.For Super-Detoxification Opt For: Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask, £20.50 (30g), www.cultbeauty.co.uk

So, if like me you sometimes awaken, look in the mirror and wonder if someone has taken to your face with a circular red stamp in the night, fear not. Milk Makeup’s Detoxifying Mask is the answer to your prayers.

Combining matcha green tea that unearths it’s pretty amazing detoxifying capabilities along with incredible pore-shrinking powers of kombucha and witch hazel, your pores will be clearer and reduced, whilst spots are diminished and too scared to return. Furthermore, organic cactus elixir is included to help in soothing away any irritation.

Just 5 minutes out of your day to sort out the problem – it will be the most effective 5 minutes in your day! Yaass.

Upgrading your beauty routine to include vegan products has never been easier. Dry shampoos are an absolute Godsend and can save your look (and smell) on the days the alarm breaks (ahem), forcing you to leave the house looking less than your best. I LOVE this vegan and cruelty-free dry shampoo. Naturtint has combined natural ingredients such as rice and barley starch that absorb any excess oil, whilst really making it look and feel silky soft. My hair frizz is greatly reduced, making it easily manageable.

Better yet, this product also contains oat extract which offers moisturising properties for the hair and scalp! Naturtint achieves a lovely fresh scent that is not overpowering, and you will be pleased to know you won’t be discovering any nasty white flaky residue. Phew.

Not only does it tick all the vital boxes (no white residue, absorbs oil, freshens and softens), but this super-light formula seems to instantly vanish into the hair with minimal effort required. One of the best things about this dry shampoo is that it transforms fine hair, giving some much-appreciated volume. Expect to breathe in a gorgeously uplifting citrus scent for added boost! Also available is their Green Tea Dry Shampoo for particularly greasy locks.
