K-Beauty Skincare Part 2: Essence, Ampoule And Sheet Masks

Here is part 2 of the best K-beauty products to achieve fabulous results by using the much-loved Korean 10-step beauty system. The first article focuses on the adored double-cleanse, exfoliator and toner. You can find the article here.

This piece features awesome essence, ampoule and sheet mask products.

1.Essence: Try Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (100ml), £14.99, www.asianbeautyplus.com

If you can get past the truly icky image that snail secretion evokes, the benefits of this essence will prove to be outstanding. Anyone out there with dry or damaged skin should give this essence a go. You may be thinking that perhaps it is just called Snail 96 Mucin Power and has no real relevance to an actual snail – but, alas, you would be wrong. Included in Cosrx’s lightweight and super-hydrating formula is filtered snail mucin – and it truly delivers exceptional results for replenishing and repairing damaged/dry skin. Better yet, this little secret weapon even offers anti-aging properties to help combat those pesky fine lines and wrinkles. Hooray (ish).

2.Ampoule: Try Leegeehaam – Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule (15ml), £13.46, www.yesstyle.com

Should you suffer from acne or blemishes, this is one ampoule that will be worth its weight in gold. Combining antibacterial and anti-fungal qualities found in propolis, the formula makes light work of diminishing nasty bacteria, as well as healing, regenerating and smoothing the skin. Also included is sea buckthorn (known for its cleansing, exfoliating, healing and regenerative abilities).

Furthermore, centella and witch-hazel are combined to provide a boost of skin-loving antioxidants, improve elasticity and reduce inflammation.

This product boasts a rich supply of antioxidants and vitamins that effectively nourish the skin, transforming it into a brighter and healthier complexion. I found the formula is quickly absorbed into the skin and noticed a significant improvement to my overall complexion within a week of use.

3.Sheet Mask For Dry Skin Try: Tony Moly I’m Real Aloe Mask Sheet Moisturising (21ml), £5, www.beautybay.com

Sheet masks are hugely popular amongst Korean women due to the fact that they WORK. However, there are so many different types available and it is worth doing a little research and sourcing one to suit your specific skin concern. I love Tony Moly’s I’m Real Aloe Mask Sheet Moisturising.

Before I continue, I should state that you must keep the mask on for the correct amount of time and don’t be lulled into the idea that keeping it on for longer will be an added bonus. Keeping the mask on for longer is said to have a reverse effect!

For superior hydrating and moisturising capabilities look no further than this awesome Tony Moly sheet mask.

Love this!
