The Best Vegan Dry Shampoos Under £11

Hey Lovelies!

Upgrading your beauty routine to include vegan products has never been easier. Dry shampoos are an absolute Godsend and can save your look (and smell) on the days the alarm breaks (ahem), forcing you to leave the house looking less than your best. Quick question: Why is it those days that we bump into the hot guy we haven’t seen for weeks?

Thus, I have reviewed and compiled a list of my favourite vegan dry shampoos. Read on:

1.Naturtint Dry Shampoo, £9.99 (20g), www.hollandandbarrett.com

I LOVE this vegan and cruelty-free dry shampoo. Naturtint has combined natural ingredients such as rice and barley starch that absorb any excess oil, whilst really making it look and feel silky soft. My hair frizz is greatly reduced, making it easily manageable.

Better yet, this product also contains oat extract which offers moisturising properties for the hair and scalp! Naturtint achieves a lovely fresh scent that is not overpowering, and you will be pleased to know you won’t be discovering any nasty white flaky residue. Phew.

2.Love Beauty And Planet Volume And Bounty Dry Shampoo, £6.99, www.ocado.com

This has to be one of the best vegan dry shampoos. Not only does it tick all the vital boxes (no white residue, absorbs oil, freshens and softens), but this super-light formula seems to instantly vanish into the hair with minimal effort required. One of the best things about this dry shampoo is that it transforms fine hair, giving some much-appreciated volume. Expect to breathe in a gorgeously uplifting citrus scent for added boost! Also available is their Green Tea Dry Shampoo for particularly greasy locks.

3.Bleach London Too Posh To Wash Dry Shampoo, £6, www.cultbeauty.co.uk

There’s no need to wish for your fairy Godmother to appear and magic your hair woes away when you have this cruelty-free and vegan dry shampoo. The formula instantly transforms your hair into beautiful locks that smell super-clean and fresh. Prepare to feel pampered.

4.Zabana Essentials Dry Shampoo, £13.95, www.zabanaessentials.com

Zabana Essentials provide 3 beautiful vegan dry shampoos: Dry Glow Shimmery,  Lavender Citrus Mint and Sage Blood Orange. My personal favourite has to be the Dry Glow Shimmery as it gives some serious shine. This product combines superior natural ingredients such as essential oils, minerals and plant extracts, to further strengthen and protect your transformed tresses. I am totally smitten with its irresistible coconut scent (to the point where I haven’t washed my hair for 3 days – gross, I know).

4 Ways To Achieve Full, Long And Luscious Lashes

Hey Lovelies,

Back from the day of Marilyn Monroe, full, long and luscious lashes have been a much sought-after trend. Check out the best tips and tricks to help you achieve the gorgeous lash effect which will totally transform your overall look into one of chic glam.

1.For Fast Lash Growth Choose: AQ Skin Solutions Eyelash & Eyebrow Enhancement System, £145 (7ml), www.dermacaredirect.com

AQ Skin Solutions lash enhancement system
Credit: dermacaredirect

This is an amazing product that actually works like a dream to lengthen and create fuller lashes and brows. If (like me) you have gone a little OTT, plucking out a tad more than you perhaps intended – only to discover that for some damn reason, they don’t actually grow back WHERE THEY SHOULD (What the HELL is with that anyway?), this is the go-to solution.

I tried the AQ Skin Solutions Eyelash & Eyebrow System for two months – and it truly works. The natural and serum does not contain any harsh chemicals. It simply works by triggering the natural production of the hair matrix. I began to see a noticeable difference within 4 weeks of use! Result: 9/10.

2.For Glue-On Lashes Choose: Eyelure Cheryl – Lengthening, No. 114 Lashes, £5.25, www.eyelure.com.

eyelure lash extensions
Credit: eyelure.com

As a beauty editor I have tried pretty much every type of false lashes around and Eyelure remain my favourite. I love false lashes but hate, hate, hate it when they randomly fall away from the corner of the eye – and this always happens at the worst possible moment. Worse still, when someone else points it out – but even more troubling when no one has mentioned the fact your lash is no longer fully attached, and you don’t realise until you’ve been home for an hour!

With Eyelure, your lashes truly transform your look and actually stay put until you decide to remove them. This brand offers a huge array of lashes to suit your every mood. However, my favourite is the Cheryl – Lengthening Lashes. They perfectly enhance your eyes, adding just the right amount of volume and length, without being too diva-esque. Result: 9/10.

3.For Longer Looking Lashes Naturally Choose: No7 Lift And Curve Eyelash Curler, £8, www.boots.com

No7 lift and curve eyelash curler
Credit: Boots

In order to create the eye-popping and fuller, longer lash look without reaching for the falsies, always use an eyelash curler before applying your mascara. This little trick goes a long way in achieving those luscious lashes, of which we all crave.

4.For Fuller Looking Lashes Choose: L’Oréal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara, £11.99, www.superdrug.com

L'Oreal double extension mascara
Credit: Superdrug

For must-have full and volume lashes, I highly recommend L’Oréal’s Double Extension Mascara. The 2-step system includes a conditioning white base (coated in Ceramide R of which contains fibres) on one end of the wand. This works to extend the length of your lashes. The other end of the wand contains the mascara. The result is incredible lashes you will love. The only thing I should mention is in order to prevent clumping the following morning, it is imperative you fully cleanse all of the product in the evening.

4 Of The Best Concealers That Actually Deliver

Hey Lovelies!

I don’t know about you but I’m so tired of getting excited about trying new concealers only to discover they just don’t stand up to the job. We want concealers to do what they promise – conceal. We want concealers that make our skin look better – not cakey, older or patchy (even when we’ve spent more than long enough blending). I quite like some Rimmel products, but I found their “Hide The Blemish” concealer to be a huge fail.

Check out the best concealers around (and the best prices) that actually deliver true coverage and will improve your appearance!

1.Max Factor Pan Stik, £7.18, www.amazon.co.uk

This has to be one of my all-time favourite concealers. It instantly provides superior, yet natural coverage for pretty much every skin concern. The lightweight formula blends easily and lasts as long as your foundation (unlike the useless twist pen stick concealers), it is excellent value for money. I always come back to this concealer (for good reason). #happydays.

3.Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, £9.75 (RRP £19.50), www.feelunique.com

This is another concealer that ticks all the boxes. The Naked Skin Concealer provides coverage that is easily buildable, whilst guaranteeing a full and even coverage of which glides on seamlessly. Including incredible ingredients such as Japanese green tea (to diminish the appearance of lines), Matrixyl 3000 and Litchiderm (to enhance collagen production and protect), this concealer literally transforms the look of your skin. Yay!

4.MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, £18.50 (9ml), www.maccosmetics.co.uk

Credit: maccosmetics.com

You didn’t think I could discuss great makeup without mentioning MAC, did you? Of course not. I hate concealers that (even when you use a setting spray) seem to either disappear completely, or stubbornly remain in unattractive vague patches on your face. Behold MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer. The lightweight product feels amazing, is lightweight whilst simultaneously achieving excellent coverage and has serious staying power. I love this!
